This privacy policy explains how The Market Drop (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit themarketdrop.com (the “Site”) or use our mobile app.
Information we collect
We collect minimal information needed to operate and improve the Site:
- Technical data: your browser type, device type, approximate geographic region, referring URL, and pages viewed. This is standard server log data and is used to understand how visitors use the Site.
- Cookies: we may use cookies to remember your preferences and to measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the Site will continue to function.
- Information you give us: if you email us or fill out a form, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, and message content).
Customer accounts and saved finds
If you create an account, we use your email address to sign you in and verify your account. You may add your first and last name. Clerk processes authentication, and we store your saved product choices with your account identifier so they are available across the app and website. The app does not currently collect try-on photos.
You can delete your account and saved finds from the app’s Account tab or our account deletion page. Deleting your account does not cancel orders placed with retailers or unsubscribe you from separate email or WhatsApp subscriptions. Contact us for other personal-data requests, including correspondence and any records retained for legal or security purposes.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To respond to your inquiries and fulfill requests.
- To understand which featured finds are resonating with readers.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
Affiliate tracking
We use affiliate links to retailers. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer on the other side may set their own cookies to track the referral. Those cookies are governed by the retailer’s privacy policy, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for details on how affiliate commissions work.
Third-party services
We use third-party services to host, operate, and secure the Site (including hosting providers and authentication services). These providers process limited data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
Data retention
We keep technical logs for as long as necessary to operate the Site and comply with legal obligations. Email correspondence is retained for as long as it is useful for customer service.
Your rights

Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
